Recently I have been experimenting with cutting out all refined sugar after 6pm and have found my sleep pattern improved immensely. However with that being said, I am also a sucker for an after-dinner sweet treat, so instead of going cold turkey completely, I replaced some of my chocolatey indulgences throughout the week with this delicious, antioxidant rich super smoothie – I highly recommend giving it a try! It’s great for any time of day too.

Serves 1

Prep 5min 

1/2 banana
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 tsp maple syrup (or rice malt syrup)


  1. Place everything in a blender and blitz on medium for 30-40 secs until everything is combined, then pour in a tall glass to serve. Simple!
